Senior HR IT Consultant
Since I started working at Consultday, I have experienced firsthand how many professionals with specialist knowledge I am surrounded by. That really makes me so happy with my choice to become a Consultday employee after years of being self-employed. As consultants, we can support organizations with project or program management, among other things. I’ll take a quick look at these two with you today.
Program and project management are disciplines focused on planning, organizing, and implementing initiatives to achieve specific goals. They are frequently named together but have different characteristics and applications:
As a consultant, I visit many different companies, and no two situations are the same. The stage a project is in often varies significantly upon my entry. This variation teaches you to quickly assess what is needed to achieve success. Projects come in different shapes and sizes; there is no “one-size-fits-all” solution. However, there are favorable conditions that contribute to a solid foundation for success. Are these conditions missing? We can help you with this, of course.
There is no magic formula that fits every project, but there are conditions that always help:
Are any of these elements missing? No worries, we are there to guide and support!
As a project manager and HR consultant, I have managed and supervised several programs and projects. I’d like to go over two of these briefly with you:
International AFAS implementation
In an international AFAS implementation, I started to map the requirements above, among others, for a solid foundation and good start. The supplier and timelines were known, but the project organization still had to be shaped during the process. By focusing on the result and clear execution, the project was successfully completed: within budget, on schedule, and to the full satisfaction of the stakeholders within AFPRO. This shows how important it is to have those requirements in focus.
Multiple HR projects within one organization
In one program, I was responsible for multiple projects, including a new timekeeping system, onboarding & recruitment and absence management. Through short lines of communication with client KPN, clear prioritization, and communication with the project team, the results were delivered within the set timelines.
I guided these projects based on my previous experience; nothing beats practical knowledge and previously resolved situations to achieve new success. I also believe that you are never too old or experienced to learn. For this reason, I am currently taking the IPMA-D course to gain even more theoretical knowledge to become even better at what I do.
At Consultday, we offer more than just project or process management. We combine in-depth knowledge of HR and payroll with extensive experience in project management. This means we not only think along but anticipate challenges and proactively address them.
Our strength lies in:
Whether it’s a completely new HR system or a specific module within an existing system, a successful project starts with a clear project result and a Consultday project manager. Preferably me, of course 😉.
